Halbur Dessert

Ingredients (Serves 6)
1 kg package of flour
1 package of oil
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice
1 cup of plain butter

Sherbet
3 cups of granulated sugar
3 cups of water
½ cup of lemon juice

Preparation
The flour poured into the tray is mixed with a pinch of salt and baking powder, and poured over the oil that has been cauterized in a pan. After kneading it with a spoon and then with your hands, like a green tea, and mixing it well, the middle is opened and two eggs, vinegar or lemon juice are poured in and a little water is added to make a solid dough. The walnut-sized dough is rolled on the back of a strainer (or a colander) by pressing it with your fingers and given the shape of a date. It is fried in oil and thrown into the sugar honey made of three cups of sugar, three cups of water and lemon juice, which has been prepared in a pot and cooled down. When you feel like it, it is placed on a serving plate.

*It is also called halbura basma or date dessert.
